• 1981: training in cornea transplant and treatment of intraocular tumours, Charste and Buch Clinic, Berlin
• 1990: training in Ophthalmology micro-surgery at the Ophthalmology Clinic, Munchen
• 1994: training in high-tech surgery of the anterior pole, Kentucky, Louisiana
• 1999: training in laser surgery of refractive defects, Heidelberg, Germany and Antwerp, Belgium

• 2000: course for calculation of corneal ablation with laser, based on corneal topography and wave front abnormalities (WASCA -Wave Front Aberration Supported Corneal Ablation in Refractive Laser Surgery - and TOSCA - Topography Supported Customized Ablation in Refractive Laser Surgery), Antwerp, Belgium.
