Refractive surgery can be performed on patients over 18 if there is evidence that the refractive error is stable.

The possibility of a total correction (myopia up to –12D, hyperopia up to +8D, astigmatism up to 6D) depends on the corneal thickness of the patient determined by a Pachymeter measurement before the procedure.

The method used in laser in situ-Keratomileusus (LASIK), a procedure that enables a very quick recovery with minimal post-operative discomfort. The procedure is performed using local anaesthetic drops with latest generation equipment (MEL-70) that ensures micron-size reshaping of the cornea.

• The pre-operative check-up to gather the data for the laser computer is done with latest equipment;

• Both eyes can be operated the same day or one week apart;

• Contact lenses (where applicable) must not be worn 10 days prior to the procedure;

• Use of makeup and volatile substance (spray, perfume, after-shave) is forbidden on the day of the treatment;

• Post-operative care entails eye drops usage for 30 days;

• Post-operative check-ups are done the next day after the treatment and then again after one week, one month, six months and a year and are free of charge.
